Cecilia Feeley, Ph.D., the founder of Feeley Consulting, has extensive professional and academic experience in transportation planning and engineering.
Since 2008, she focuses her work on the transportation, transit, pedestrian and mobility issues for individuals on the autism spectrum and other developmental disabilities. Feeley works with transportation agencies and service providers throughout the US to increase options and independence for adults on the spectrum. Her Paratransit Skills Assessment validation paper won the National Academies TRB Best Paper Award in Public Transportation at the January 2020 Annual Meeting. She has worked with over 250 individuals with various ASD diagnoses. Feeley’s most recent work involves mixed reality VR and educational programs to assist with developing road crossing and pedestrian navigation skills. In addition to Feeley Consulting, she is the Transportation Autism Project Manager at Rutgers University - CAIT, Chair of the Committee on Paratransit for the National Academies’ Transportation Research Board, and Chair of the NJ Task Force on Transportation, Mobility and Support Services for Adults with Autism. |
